Beyond R'Margins Conference

The goal of this conference is to provide UC Riverside students with an inclusive environment in which they will have an opportunity to diversify themselves and learn about the various communities on our campus, their hxstories, and the social injustices these communities may have experienced or continue to experience.

Through our workshop topics and discussions, participants will have the opportunity to reflect, connect, and take action on critical issues, embrace the myriad of cultures and communities that grace our campus, and create, ultimately, a more inclusive and culturally-competent campus climate here at UC Riverside.

Our keynote speakers, former Black Panther and political prisoner, Marshall "Eddie" Conway, and world-renowned Activist and co-founder of the United Farm Workers, Dolores Huerta, will open and close the conference with their life experiences. Please join us for a day of power, education and unity, as we dispel myths, foster solidarity and advocate social justice!

Once you understand something about the history of a people, their heroes, their hardships, and their sacrifices, it's easier to struggle with them, to support their struggle... -- Assata Shakur
