Nuestra Cosa

Nuestra Cosa has been UCR’s official Chicano/Latino newspaper since 1972. Under the leadership of a student editor and two faculty/staff advisors, our talented student writing staff creates content ranging from news stories and op-ed pieces to entertainment features and student-drawn political cartoons. Each part of Nuestra Cosa informs readers about issues important to the Chicano/Latino community.

  • Improves communication for the UCR community
  • Provides a medium in which Chicano/Latino students, staff and community members can express themselves freely and responsibly
  • Helps hone students’ journalistic skills
  • Offers a unique opportunity to be part of a creative media outlet and earn college credit
